Dr. Shook has a thirst for knowledge and is always learning about the newest and most effective psychological tests and techniques. For each client, Dr. Shook tailors an individual treatment plan that strives to help the client reach their goals, whatever they may be. Dr. Shook helps people with a wide variety of problems ranging from behavior problems like ADHD, anxiety, and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Dr. Shook is licensed to administer a variety of effective psychological tests to diagnose learning disabilities and attention problems. Sometimes a child or adult is struggling in school not because they have a learning disability but because they have an attention problem. Psychological testing can help determine which is the root of the problem or if both are playing a factor.

In a warm and inviting environment clients will learn the skills needed to cope with life and the unique challenges each individual faces. Even if two people have the same diagnosis, what he or she struggles with will not be the same. For that reason Dr. Shook believes it is important not to treat the diagnosis only but to treat the entire individual uniquely.
